Isabell Stroben won her first Fight Night Combat tournament last weekend at the AB IN' POTT Convention in Dortmund, Germany. In doing so she became just the second female combateer to win a Fight Night, following on from Friederike Kraaz who won at Suderburg 2015.

After a few third place finishes in 2017, Isabell won in her first ever finals appearance, defeating Marius Thies 5-1. This is a big contrast to her semi-final opponent, Stephan Cipra, who has now reached five finals without converting any to an overall victory.

Isabell earned herself 250 rankings points, enough to climb 18th, her highest ever place on the 52 Week Current Rankings, and up to sixth on the 2018 Race Rankings, which only counts the tournaments so far this year.

Dortmund was the 17th event in the 2018 Tournament Calendar. Stay tuned in the coming week for news from the Israel 2018 Fight Night, a National 500 Level event, and the British Juggling Convention 2018 Fight Night, the first Major 750 event of the year: http://fightnightcombat.com/tournament-calendar-2018.html
