Congratulations to Jan Poolen on his first Fight Night victory. 17 jugglers took part in the tournament at ZirkuLaer No. 11, and only two came through qualifications without losing a match. Seeded 1st and 2nd, they met in the final, and Jan Poolen won.

In second place? Julius Preu, again, taking second place for his third tournament in a row. Mees Jager achieved his best ever Fight Night result by beating David Ullrich in the third place match.

Meanwhile, Erwin Kronberger is the winner of the 2015 Maarten Willy Wils Award due to him lasting the highest number of tournaments without qualifying for a knockout before finally qualifying for a knockout (5).

With Jan Poolen's win in Laer, combined with him qualifying at the EJC and the NJF, he moves up to 17th in the 2015 race rankings.

More interestingly, Julius Preu is now in a very strong position to snap up the final place on the European Masters 2015 invite list. Julius needs just 11 points to move ahead of Jochen Hänsel, currently the 10th provisional spot, and a fourth place finish in Cottbus or Nürnburg would secure him the invite.

But only, of course, if Jochen Hänsel, Alexander Müller or Florian Marienfeld don't also enter one of the remaining two tournaments in Germany before the middle of November. It will probably all come down to Nürnburg!

Thanks to Julius Preu, Leanne Staugaard and Melissa Staugaard for organizing the tournament, and to Leanne for the photo. See all the results and details at the Laer 2015 page: http://fightnightcombat.com/tournament-Laer-2015.html
