The two Fight Night Combat tournaments last weekend were the biggest ever, in two different ways.
The Rastelli Festival 2017 had the highest value prize fund ever offered at a Fight Night, with €600 for the top three players to be spent on juggling equipment, training, or other artistic development. That's €100 to Joris de Jong from the Netherlands for his third place win over Gioele Codara from Italy, €200 to Camilo Jimenez from Colombia for making it to the final, and €300 to Luke Burrage for taking the overall title.

Over in South America, at the Bogota Dia Mundial del Malabarista 2017 meeting, was the biggest ever Fight Night group qualification session. Tournament organiser Juancho Garzón estimated over 500 jugglers tried to win one of the eight rounds of combat to earn a place in the quarter-finals.
Kristopher Muñoz won the final match against Jeison Cruz, earning himself 250 rankings points. Last year's winner, Oscar Martinez, had to settle for fourth place after losing to Jonathan García in the third place match.
Now both Jeison Cruz and Jonathan García are in joint top place in the Colombia rankings, both having a second and third place finish at the 250 tournaments in the last 52 weeks.
